Leslie Cohen-Rubury

Leslie values and balances the individual’s well-being and the interconnectedness of the larger collective of nature and beings. She brings her passionate energy, wisdom and commitment to all areas of her life.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters degree in special Education Leslie does individual, family, and marital therapy – with the vision to support people to better understand themselves and their environments.

And in creating her own balance- Leslie is passionate about dance. She found her expression of dance within the form of Contact Improvisation which she has been doing for over 35 yrs. Her community spirit has led to her engagement as a board member of both Earthdance Retreat Center and the dance magazine Contact Quarterly and the creation of Peaceable Barn Studio.

Leslie’s deep sense of connection can be seen among her large community of friends and found within her family members. Married for 39 yrs. Leslie and Eric share the joys and challenges of life with 3 children, one daughter in law and 2 grandchildren. In her life and work She is committed to helping parents develop a framework and perspective that decreases burnout and increases competency at what is often referred to as the world’s hardest job: parenting.
